Breaking News of the moment comes from Delhi which today erupted over the rape of a five-year-old girl (Gudiya) with hundreds of people staging demonstrations across in the national capital including residences of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, the Delhi Police Headquarters and the India Gate.

Demonstrations were held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) too where the girl is undergoing treatment and outside the Gandhi Nagar police station where policemen allegedly showed laxity in dealing with the case.

The girl was abducted April 15 and allegedly kept hostage by Manoj Kumar, her neighbour, for two days without food and water and tortured and repeatedly raped in east Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar, police said.

The most shocking thing is that Doctors surgically removed a 200-ml bottle of hair oil and pieces of candlesticks from the girls vaginal orifice.

After all this news spread, common man and activists of the AAP, BJP, CPI-M, CPI, AISF, AIYF, SFI, ABVP and other political outfits started their protest.

With situation going out of control, the Delhi Police Saturday imposed prohibitory orders in the India Gate area.

“Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) has been imposed near the India Gate and no gathering would be allowed there,” a senior police officer told a news agency.

Following the imposition of prohibitory orders, the India Gate got vacated in the afternoon and vendors were asked to leave the area.

The Aam Aadmi Party and several NGOs had called the people to gather at the India Gate for a candlelight march in the evening.
