	Miss Teen Thailand 2008 (Top 50) Thai Supermodel Contest 2011 (Top 10) Miss Thailand World 2012 (Winner) Vanessa Poung Herrmann Muangkod (Thai: วัลเณซ่า พวง แฮร์มันน์ เมืองโคตร), nicknamed Na-Chatra or Van (Thai: ณฉัตร หรือ วัล) (born July 17, 1991 in Phuket, Thailand) is Miss Thailand World 2012. She was crowned Miss Thailand World 2012 on March 24, 2012 by Patcharida Blatchford, Miss Thailand World 2011. She will represent Thailand in Miss World 2012 at Ordos, Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China. Biography Vanessa is half Thai-German was born and raised in Phuket, Thailand. She graduated from Satree Phuket School in Phuket and got B.A in Humanities at Ramkhamhaeng University. Pageantry On March 24, 2012, she was crowned Miss Thailand World 2012 by Patcharida Blatchford, the reigning 2011 Miss Thailand World. She also won the Miss Top Model, Miss Beauty with a Purpose in Fast Tack and Best Body award. The Miss Thailand World pageant was broadcast live from the Bangkok Convention Centre, CentralWorld in Bangkok. Vanessa will represent Thailand at the 2012 Miss World pageant to be held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China THE GOWN : Entitled the “Shine of the Peaceful” the designer of this gown drew inspiration from the Chandelier lights in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles in France, which was established by King Louis XIV of France . The hall has 17 mirrors, and has a very important significance, being the place where the Treaty of Versailles was signed at the end of World War I. The back of the dress features an array of crystals reminiscent of the crystal chandeliers hanging in the hall, whilst the smooth white-cream colour depicts the painted walls of the huge hall.
