MISS WORLD 2012 

Finally MISS WORLD 2012 has crowned. YU WENXIA Miss China PR is the new MISS WORLD.

Ivian Lunassol Sarcos from VENEZUELA crowned her successor. MISS WORLD was held on August 18,2012 in Dhongsheng Fitness Center Stadium. 116 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown, marking the biggest turnout in the pageant's history

     THE QUESTION : WHY YOU DESERVE TO BE MISS WORLD 2012?  
     

     - CHINA PR : When I was a kid I was very lucky because so many people helped me, and I hope in future I can help more children who are less fortunate.

      

     - INDIA : I believe that the next Miss World should be a woman with a kind heart and humility, who wherever she goes, makes people feel that she is their own. Somebody who carries simple values in this complex world, somebody who believes in herself. And this is what I believe I am.

  • Wales reached its highest placement since 2004.
  • Australia last placed in 2006, where both representatives placed second Runner-up.
  • South Sudan placed for the first time.
  • England, Indonesia, Philippines, Spain placed two years in a row.
  • China, Kenya, Netherlands, United States last placed in 2010.
  • Brazil, India, Mexico last placed in 2009.
  • Jamaica last placed in 2007.
  • China is the second country after United Kingdom to win on her own country.
  • India is the first Miss World contestant to win two fast track events in an edition.
