NAME : VANYA MISHRA

AGE : 20

BORN : FEBRUARY, 27 1992

OCCUPATION : MODEL

UNIVERSITY : PEC University of Technology

ABOUT VANYA :

Vanya Mishra (born 27 February 1992) in Jalandhar was crowned the winner of Femin a Miss India on March 30, 2012. She is currently doing her under graduate program in Electrical Engineering from PEC University of Technology. She had to compete with the 19 other models for the top honor, the Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2012 Title.

Vanya always had a knack for social work. As a child she used to visit the school of visually impaired with her mother and insisted that she would pledge her eyes.

Vanya got a direct entry into the finals after being declared as the winner of Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow 2011 contest. Her answer to the final question 'If you have an option, will you create thousand jobs or feed thousand children daily?' (sic) , which won her the award was, "Little children are innocent and anybody's heart will melt. I will also try to give them education so that they can feed themselves and their family too"(sic). She will be representing India at the Miss World 2012 pageant in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. She was also crowned Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow 2012, Bharathi Vidyapeeth Femina Miss Photogenic 2012, Maybelline Femina Miss Colossal Eyes 2012 and Dabur Femina Miss Beautiful Skin 2012 in the subcontests of Pantaloons Femina Miss India.

Vanya is a big foodie. Her favorite movie is Due Date. Her favorite actors are Priyanka Chopra and Robert Downey, Jr. She loves to play badminton. Her favorite car is Audi. She likes reading, dancing, listening to music. She is crazy about sports and is a die hard fan of tennis star Roger Federer. Vanya believes a man's most attractive physical feature His smile.

Vanya is very close to win Miss World 2012 Crown. she's in the top 7 and win 2 fasttrack.

INTERVIEW :

My name is Vanya Mishra. I’m 20 years old and I am from the beautiful country of India. As a nation, India is the largest democracy in the world and has a diverse culture with multiple languages, religions, traditions all living harmoniously under one umbrella which is evident from the fact that there is so much unity in such diversity.

I am currently a 3rd year electrical engineering student.
Being brought up by my mother, a single parent, she has inculcated in me lot of sensibility from a very young age. My father was serving as a major in the Indian army but unfortunately passed away when I was just 2 years old.
I enjoy dance as an art form of expression and enjoy dances like Indian classical, salsa, bollywood, and freestyle.
As a young girl growing up, I was influence by icons who I idolised, the likes of Miss World 1994 Ashwariya Rai and upon turning 18 this lead me to pledge to donate my eyes.
Being an academic and extremely passionate about higher education I am keen to pursue a degree in Masters of Business Administration once I finish my graduation.
Bollywood has always been a dream, and yes once I finish my graduation and if the timing and the offers from the film industry are right, I will contemplate a career in Bollywood.
Hailing from a defence background, I would like to be the proud title holder of Miss World to make my country proud and be a great ambassador for India, as my father followed the credo of ‘Service before Self’, and it is this credo that propels and motivates me as I embark upon this extraordinary journey in the pursuit and realization of my dreams.

मेरा नाम वान्या मिश्रा है. मैं २० साल की हूँ और भारत के ख़ूबसूरत शहर चंडीगढ़ से हूँ. भारत दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा प्रजातंत्र देश है जहाँ एक छत के नीचे अलग अलग संस्कृतियाँ है, भीं भीं भाषाओँ का प्रयोग होता है जो एक उत्तम उदहारण है अनेकता में एकता का.

वर्त्मान में, मैं पेक युनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ टेकनौलाजी से इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग के तीसरे वर्ष में पढाई कर रही हूँ.

जब मैं २ वर्ष की थी, मेरे पिता जी, जो की भारतीय रक्षक सेना में मेजर के तौर पे कार्यरत थे, दुर्भाग्यवश उनका देहांत हो गया था जिसके कारण मेरी माँ ने मेरा पालन पोषण किया, जिसकी वजह से मैं कम् उम्र से ही एक बहुत ही संवेदनशील और जिमेदार इंसान हूँ.

मुझे बचपन से ही नृत्य का बहुत शौंक रहा है है. यह एक तरीके से आपकी भावनाओं को व्यक्त करने में मदद करता है. मुझे इंडियन क्लास्सिकल, सालसा, बॉलीवुड, फ्रीस्टाइल तरह के नृत्य में ज्यादा रूची है.

अपने बचपन के दीनों से ही मैं ब्रह्माण्ड सुंदरी सुष्मिता सेन, विश्व सुंदरी ऐश्वर्या राइ से बहुत प्राभावीत रही हूँ, इसी का नतीजा है की जब मैं १८ वर्ष की हुई तो मैंने अपनी ऑंखें दान करने का निर्णय लिया.

पढाई में रूचि होने के कारण मैं बी.टेक के बाद ऍम.बी.ए की डिग्री पूरी करना चाहती हूँ.

बॉलीवुड मुझे शुरुआत से ही आकर्षित करता रहा है, इसी लिए अगर सही समय पर सही प्रस्ताव मिला तो मैं ज़रूर से यहाँ अपना मुकाम बनाना चाहूंगी.

डिफेन्स बेक्ग्रौंद से होने के कारण, मैं मिस वर्ल्ड का ख़िताब जीत कर देश को गर्वित करना चाहती हूँ, जेसे के मेरे पिता का मानना था "service before self" और उन्होंने इसी आदर्श का पालन किया, वेसे ही मैं इन्ही आदर्शों का पालन करते हुए खूबसूरती के इस अविस्मरनीय मंच पे अपने देश का नाम रोशन करके अपने सपने को पूरा होते हुए देखना चाहती हूँ.
