I had a happy childhood because I always had the support of my parents, brother and sister, with whom I have lived a lot of exciting experiences as we have learned that family comes first.

fun facts

1. Laura has been playing volleyball since she was eight years old and even played for Guatemala’s national team.
2. One time Laura and her family climbed a volcano, and realized it was active once their shoes started melting.
3. Laura’s most unusual job was being a parade decorator with her family.

   Laura Godoy has been crowned Miss Universe Guatemala 2012 by Alejandra Barillas (Former Miss Universe Guatemala 2011) at the Convention Center Light, Real Life evangelical church, Zone 10 of Guatemala City on Friday November 25, 2011.
   

   Miss Universe 2012

   Godoy will participate in the 61st edition of the Miss Universe pageant. She will fight to succeed outgoing titleholder, Leila Lopes from Angola.
